B.Ed (Bachelor of Education) and ITEP
To teach in schools in India, most posts require a teacher-education qualification. The traditional route is a two-year B.Ed after graduation; the newer Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) combines a degree and teacher training in four years after Class 12.
